    Pottery 1, Pottery 2 and Pottery Wheel are taught in the same room. Pottery Wheel begins 30 minutes earlier than Pottery 1 & 2.
    Student must take Pottery 1 before taking Pottery 2.
    ​​​Only choose Pottery 2 if you have already taken Pottery 1
    Pottery Wheel students must take Pottery 1 and Pottery 2 before taking Pottery Wheel (with teacher's approval)

    Come explore the art of making your own beads out of paper that otherwise would be trashed. Learn how to measure and cut for different bead sizes and how to seal your beads to help protect them for wearing. After making your beads, we will turn them into some fun wearable jewelry. Make something unique for yourself or make a one-of-a-kind, heartfelt gift for that someone special this holiday season.

    Students will choose from a variety of projects, while learning to sew. Student will learn sewing basics including use of the sewing machine, threading the machine, winding bobbins, various machine settings, using basic sewing tools including mats, rulers, marking tools, the  rotary cutter, scissors. They will learn about fabric types, grain lines, seam allowances and measuring.  Students will also learn about patchwork piecing, placing pockets, lining and strap making.

    This crochet class is designed to teach the basics of crochet. No prior experience with crochet is needed. The first class will introduce you to the different hooks used to crochet, the different types of yarn and how to read the yarn label. The following classes will work on learning the different stitches in the art of crochet.

    Calligraphy

    This calligraphy class introduces the student to the ancient art of calligraphy which has been practiced for thousands of years. The word calligraphy means beautiful writing. Students will begin by learning the basics and in time they will be able to make gifts for friends and family, which will happen if they are willing to practice.  No experience necessary.  Hone your skills if you already have experience.  Learn Chancery and Gothic calligraphy. Bring a friend and enjoy this fun, creative class.
